Today I'll be presenting the first part of this tutorial, whcih is basically how to create a simple Python application using NetBeans. I'll add more things to this tutorial later, like user input and validation. So, without further ado, here is the first part of the tutorial. Make sure you have the Python EA version of the IDE before you start.

Alpha version of Prado support

When I published the entry with the first screenshots of Prado support, I promised to publish first alpha version soon. Unfortunately from that time I'm extremely busy and I wasn't able to work on the project to fix all problems. On Sunday I found a little time to work on this and there is the first alpha version.

Hint: Implement all abstract methods

Today I would like to introduce new hint that was implemented already a few weeks ago but probably hardly anyone knows about it. This hint can be useful in case when you need to implement abstract methods in a class that extends another class.

Viewing the lexer tokens of a file

This tip is only for the serious NetBeans geek, but I still found it pretty darn cool if you're working with the NetBeans Lexer (as I am to implement SQL completion in PHP).
